Polar Bear Plunge

Registration: 10am Plunge: 1pm
Pick up your pledge sheets and pre-registration forms at Harbor View or call Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Northwoods at 715-744-3927 to preregister prior to December 15th to guarantee your sweatshirt size. You may register on the day of the event, but there will be no guarantee for a sweatshirt/size.
Must be 18 years old or have a parent/legal guardian present to sign the waiver form in front of event personnel to take the Plunge.
Plungers must raise a minimum of $35 dollars in pledges to take the plunge and receive the commemorative Polar Bear Plunge SWEATSHIRT.
The GRAND PRIZE for the plunger that brings in the most pledge money is a certificate for a 2-night stay in a double suite at The Wilderness Resort and Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells! There will also be a prize for the BEST COSTUME!
The Challenge is on! Which area Fire Department and School will be the WINNERS of the Challenge for 2012? The Catawba/Harmony Fire Department were the WINNERS in both Fire Department categories last year as they not only had the most Plunge Participants with 8 plungers, they also won the Challenge for the MOST Pledge Money Raised! The WINNERS of the School Challenge last year was the Phillips Middle School for the Most Plunge Participants with 5 young ladies taking the Plunge, and the Phillips High School Calc Class for the Most Pledge Money Raised. Who will win this year?? Winners will not only earn bragging rights, but also will have their names engraved on the Polar Plunge Challenge Plaques on display at Harbor View.
Raffles will take place before the plunge, and awards will take place after the plunge. Everyone is invited to participate! All money raised will help fund our local youth mentoring program.
