Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Northwoods has several School Based Mentoring Programs currently in place, including: AVW School District/LUHS School District and Rib Lake School District.
Our School Based Mentoring Programs are conducted according to what works best at each individual School District. Some of our programs are run as a "Lunch Buddy" program where the Little meets with their Big during their lunch time. Other programs are run as a "Study Buddy" program after school. One of our School Districts offers quality time during the school day based on what timing works best based on the Big and Little school schedule.
We are always looking to expand our programs into new schools, so if you are interested in enrolling your child in a School Based Mentoring Program - please contact us (even if we do not currently have a program in your school district).
We are also in need of adult mentors and High School Bigs to serve as mentors, so if you are interested in volunteering, please contact us.
